Well I've definitely gained my appetite back! I still have A LOT of food aversions and I got sick once on Saturday night, but I'm feeling so much better than I have. And with that, I eat like every 5 minutes...
How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1.5 lb total
Maternity clothes? The belly band and maternity leggings are my friend
Stretch marks? None. I purchased and started using Bio Oil earlier this week. I know, I'm such a sucker. But I figure it won't hurt anything to apply it once a day.
Best moment this week: Cooking our first homemade meal in several months! Along with "morning" sickness, our oven was on the fritz and then completely stopped working and we finally got it replaced and hooked up just in time for my appetite increase. Hallelujah! I made vegetarian chili for dinner Sunday night and an avocado pasta salad that we've been eating for lunches. It feels so good to eat some real food again!
Miss Anything? Margaritas! Friday was National Margarita Day and I was jonesing for one sooooo bad! Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can get a virgin margarita?
Movement: Nothing yet
Food Cravings: See above :-)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Most meats (beef, chicken) are still the worst. I've been eating lots of nuts, peanut butter, and protein powder in my daily smoothies to make up for it.
Have you started to show yet: I was pretty round this morning but it faded throughout the day, so probably not baby :-(
Gender: 6 weeks and counting until we find out!
Labor Signs: Nope
Wedding rings on or off? On, and they're quite loose! I think since my belly still needed to bulk up, when I lost all that weight it took it from every random spot it could find.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: We may have found a changing table! We're driving up to Brainerd Sunday afternoon to scope it out. I'm also excited for Tech week of Charlotte's Web to be over so my husband is home again.
A documented journey through pregnancy and planning for our little Baby Legg! Yup, I'm totally one of those moms...

Week 13: Making Progess
How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1 lb this week, yay!
Maternity clothes? I did wear a belly band with my work pants today. I COULD have gotten them buttoned, but it would have been really tight and uncomfortable so I pulled out the belly band for the first time.
Stretch marks? None
Best moment this week: I ate a shredded pork taco on Saturday! It was the first meat I've eaten in a looooooooong time! It felt like a big accomplishment.
Miss Anything? Sushi
Movement: Haven't felt any yet :-(
Food cravings: I was craving Anton's popovers pretty hard yesterday so I sent Jon out to get me some. Yum! And they were pretty easy on my tummy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I'm still pretty nauseous, but now that it's slowing down a bit, I've found that I only get really nauseous by certain smells (beef jerky...yuck!) and if I wait too long to get food into me when I'm hungry. Yesterday I went to the grocery store for the first time in at least two months, and I stocked up on some snacks for work (granola bars, homemade trail mix, cantaloupe, yogurt, etc.) to have on hand so that I don't let myself get to that point where I'm so hungry I feel sick. I'm not completely in the clear yet, though...I still have gotten sick a couple of times in the past few days, but way less than in weeks past.
Have you started to show yet: I was noticeably more bloated today, but I don't know how much of that is baby yet.
Gender: Still waiting...
Labor Signs: Nope
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, with some bouts of moodiness.
Looking forward to: Officially "popping" so that I have a defined belly instead of this questionable state I'm in now. I'm also looking forward to my husband being home with me on week nights in a couple of weeks once Charlotte's Web opens.

Week 12: It Feels Real!
Yay! We had our 12 week appointment today and finally got to meet the doctor we will be working with, Dr. Robin Marushin at CentraCare. LOVE! Based on our first appointment, I would totally recommend her to anyone. I came in with a big, long list of questions that she seemed happy to answer, and she totally put my mind at ease on a bunch of pregnancy and labor details I've been stressing over. She was super friendly, super sweet, and didn't make me feel at all stupid about the fact that Jon and I are completely in over our heads on all this pregnancy knowledge. Most exciting of all, we got to hear the heartbeat!!!!!
How far along? 12 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -3 lbs...now while I haven't probably lost 3 lbs in one week, I did post last week that I had gained a pound. Well apparently I must have weighed myself at a different time of day and/or my scale is off form the doctor's scale because at our appointment today they told me I've lost 2 lbs. Not to worry, they said it's not a big deal as long as I aim to start gaining around a pound a week once I can start eating a little better.
Maternity clothes? Well today I actually wore a maternity sweater dress but it's one of those that expands as you grow so it would fit me normally...not sure if that really counts. Jon's parents were nice enough to take me shopping for several new dresses (maternity and not) that will be able to fit my future big belly in and I ordered a bunch of stuff off of OldNavy.com during their 40% off sale this past week.
Stretch marks? None!
Best moment this week: HEARING BABY'S HEARTBEAT! It was so exciting! Our doctor found it right away (thank goodness or I would have freaked out!) but then Baby Legg kept jumping and cartwheeling around so she had to keep trying to follow him/her! Guess we'll have a little gymnast!
Miss Anything? I miss being able to handle meat. I'm really sick of either avoiding all meals that contain meat or picking off any meat that's in anything because it makes me gag!
Movement: Haven't felt it, but apparently Baby Legg is a mover and a shaker!
Food cravings: Apples and peanut butter are still the big go-to. I prepped a bunch of smoothie stuff yesterday so that I have a quick, healthy breakfast in the morning. Both recipes I used were ones I found on pregnancy sites that are high in protein and calcium, two things I'm not getting a lot of these days...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yup! When I was getting the individual-sized portions of smoothie ingredients divided up I was gagging at the sight of the yogurt. Blaugh!
Have you started to show yet: Just a little. My doctor today said I looked fabulous! Another reason she's a winner because it's definitely what I needed to hear while I'm feeling like a balloon!
Gender: Don't know yet. Our doctor made sure to give us a pre-scolding today on not going and trying to figure out the sex of the baby based on the heartbeat. Dang, she already knows me!
Labor Signs: Nope
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: I'm really looking forward to the day when I can feel this baby's acrobatics!

Nursery Brainstorming
I've got so many ideas crammed into my head and so many projects I want to start in on! Patience is definitley not my greatest virtue.
If it's a boy, I'm thinking orange/turquoise/grey:
I also really love this room inspiration that I found, but it would be really difficult to incorporate the beautiful elephant painting I bought at Pier 1 awhile back. I still have to share though because it is amazing!
If it's a girl, my original inspiration came from this picture:
While I love the color scheme and the design, it's a little funkier then I envisioned for Baby Legg. Then I found this:
I'm crossing my fingers that it is still available in 9 weeks when I can start ordering!
The thing I'm most excited for right now is picking out fabrics for the bedding, drapes, and quilt! Jon's mom is a great quilter and I can't wait for her to make our first baby quilt....I already even have the design picked out. I love this herringbone quilt I found when looking for nursery inspiration:
I've become kind of obsessed with scouring for beautiful baby fabrics, but did you know that modern, cute fabrics are REALLY expensive?! Like $8 for 1/2 a yard expensive? Dang....I may have to slum it a little with my beautiful fabric dreams.
Now only 9 more weeks to wait before we can get going!

I love, love, LOVE this color scheme and the relaxed, vintage vibe. Both girl nursery inspirations feature a rug from Urban Outfitters I found awhile back (even before Baby Legg) that I had bookmarked for a future baby room. I'm planning on ordering it in blue or grey for a girl room or orange for a boy:

Week 11: Full Planning Mode
Now that we have decided for certain that we are going to find out if Baby Legg is a boy or girl.....I NEED TO KNOW. Like now. Can nesting start this early because I'm already in a constant mind set of needing to get the house ready for Baby. I have tons of nursery ideas for whether it is a "she" or a "he" but I feel like now I've made myself an unmanageable list of things to do and DIY projects to start, but I can't get going on any of them since I don't know which colors to buy yet! For those of you that know me, you know that this is a huge problem for me. I'm a little bit obsessive....hell, I had most of the things planned, purchased, and made for my wedding over a year out. So sitting around and waiting is giving me a slight panic attack, to say the least.
How far along? 11 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1 lb this week...eating a little more has made a difference.
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I've started scoping some out. Old Navy has some great, cheap options. And did you know Forever 21 has a maternity line?! I'm just really having a hard time justifying buying a whole new wardrobe that I'll only be able to wear for a couple months.
Stretch marks? None and hoping it stays that way!
Best moment this week: Cleaning the house. I know it sounds lame, but when I've been so busy PLUS feeling like crap, our house kind of became a disaster. It feels really good to have a clean house again.
Miss Anything? Snacking. It's the Super Bowl tomorrow and I absolutely adorabe apps and snacks (Super Bowl party staples!) under normal circumstances....but now....
Movement: None that I can feel. I read that Baby Legg is jumping around like an acrobat in there, I just can't feel it yet.
Food cravings: Apples and peanut butter and pepperoni and pineapple pizza are still making up my entire diet.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Cream sauce and beef are still topping the list, but basically everything under the sun besides my typical staples that I have gotten my stomach accustomed to.
Have you started to show yet: No defined baby bump, but I'm definitely growing.
Gender: Don't know yet :-(
Labor Signs: Nope
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Our twelve week appointment next week, FINALLY getting to hear the heartbeat, and finding out the gender in 2 long months.
