Week 10: On the Up Swing!

I'm nearly a week behind on this, but whatcha gonna do....

How far along? 10 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0 lbs
Maternity clothes? Nope, but my work pants were noticeably tight today!
Stretch marks? None
Best moment this week: I requested off work for April 8th, the date of our ultrasound, so that we can go shopping for nursery supplies and fabric afterward! I'm already so anxious to start decorating the spare bedroom!
Miss Anything? I miss being able to stay up later then 9pm! I'm an absolute drag these days!
Movement: None yet :-( Waiting (im)patiently!
Food cravings: Apples and peanut butter. I don't think I've had any popsicles this week, though, which is huge! That has been the major part of my diet over the past several weeks. I was super advernturous Sunday night and decided to try a piece of pepperoni and pineapple pizza. I've now eaten this for almost every single lunch and dinner since. I only will eat it cold though, when it's warmed up it is too greasy and then I can't stomach it. This is a huge improvement over my rice diet, though!
Anything making you queasy or sick: See chalkboard picture
Have you started to show yet: Still just the lame-o muffin top bump.
Gender: We're half way to when we get to find out! I've decided that if we're having a girl I will immediately start making hundreds of headbands and if we're having a boy I will start in on a hundred bow ties.
Labor Signs: Nope
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: The end of the first trimester! And feeling Baby Legg move!

On a fine side note, I ordered a free (except for shipping) baby sling from Seven Everyday Slings (order yours using promo code FREE GIFT) several weeks ago and it finally came in the mail! We decided to test it out on Bella. She was none too happy, but I was comfortably able to hold her with no hands!

Week 9: One More Week!

Only one more week until my shows are over and I can look forward to coming home and passing out on my couch every night after work! I'm so excited! Jon will still be at rehearsals for Charlotte's Web Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, though, so I will be home all alone with Bella, getting fat and watching Grey's Anatomy.

Last Thursday, the day after our doctor's appointment where they gave me the flu shot, I ended up taking the afternoon off of work since I was the sickest I think I've ever been. Rolling over or sitting up would cause me to throw up. My mom stopped by while Jon was at work and brought me apples, took Bella out to the bathroom, and did the dishes. So grateful for that! To make myself feel better, I stayed curled up in bed watching Pretty Woman and posted our pictures on Facebook to announce Baby Legg. We had Jon's brothre take them for us at Barnes and Noble a couple of weeks ago and they're nothing fancy but I thought they turned out pretty cute!

Morning sickness is still in full swing and, though some days are better than others, I'm greatly looking forward to the day when I wake up and am able to eat like a normal human being again.

How far along? 9 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still at 0 lbs
Maternity clothes? Nope
Stretch marks? None
Best moment this week: Brainstorming nursery ideas and announcing to the Facebook world that Baby Legg is on the way!
Miss Anything? I miss enjoying food. You know when you have the stomach flu for a couple of days and how excited you are to eat normal food once you're feeling better? It's like that except that it's already been four weeks of sick with at least another three more expected. I absolutely cannot wait to be able to have a piece of lasagna!
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Rice, popsicles (and when I keep saying popsicles I really mean those Edy's Fruit Bars. Holy crap I die over those right now), and apples with peanut butter have been my foods of choice lately
Anything making you queasy or sick: Absolutely. Everything less rice, popsicles, and apples with peanut butter.
Have you started to show yet: A little but it is still looking more like your average muffin top then a baby bump.
Gender: We've pretty much decided that we're going to find out. Jon won me over by playing to my planner side. Dangit.
Labor Signs: No way
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Sleep deprivation and hormones have left me a little moody. I'm hoping when I can start getting more sleep next week that this will turn around.
Looking forward to: This week being over! And the end of the first trimester in a couple of weeks!

P.S. We totally did not get to hear the heartbeat at our appointment last Wednesday :-( The nurse said she could try and find it but she didn't recommend it as often times it is still too early at 8 weeks to hear the heartbeat and not hearing it would more than likely really freak us out. I agreed that I would probably be in a panic if we didn't hear it (even if I was told that there was a chance we wouldn't be able to hear it yet), so we opted to take her advice and wait until our 12 week appointment. February 11th cannot come soon enough so that I can finally hear that little heart and put my mind at ease!

Week 8: Absolute Mayham

I'm about midway through week 8 and nothing in regular life seems willing to slow down so that I can suffer through this morning sickness in peace. Annie opened this weekend and we had school performances this morning and tomorrow morning (hot costumes, stage lights, and make-up at 8am when you're pregnant is a recipe for disaster), the audit at work starts tomorrow so I was at work until 9:45pm last night (on my one night off from shows mind you), I've still got rehearsal going for Half Married that performs a week from Friday, and Jon's a couple of weeks into school and just started Charlotte's Web that he's directing at GREAT, so he hasn't had much down time either. I just got over a bad cold that I had Friday through Monday, but unlike that illness, this nausea just won't let up!

How far along? 8 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0 lbs, probably due to not being able to keep anything down
Maternity clothes? None yet
Stretch marks? Nope
Best moment this week: Coming home from Annie on Saturday to my bedroom windows being blacked out with blankets by my husband so I could go to bed at 5:00pm! I know not really baby related, but it kind of is since I'm so tired from growing this little human in me!
Miss Anything? Margaritas
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Today after barely getting down a couple of noodles and a popsicle for lunch between shows, I was really craving a taco. I know, it's weird, but it sounded good. So I made the trek out to Baja Joe's for some tacos, which promptly caused me to throw up at the sight of them. What do you want from me, Baby Legg?! Do you know what you're putting me through?! You better be freaking cute! Also, when you get out, you're grounded.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything. Someone had beef jerky in the dressing room the other day and I thought the smell was going to put me over the edge.
Have you started to show yet: My middle section has gotten a little chunkier but no defined baby belly yet.
Gender: Don't know and don't know if we'll find out.
Labor Signs: Geeze, not yet...
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: A little moody this week, I won't lie.
Looking forward to: Our 8 week appointment tomorrow. I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't get to hear the heartbeat! As much as I love the Annie cast and I have had a great time with both Annie and Half Married, I'm also really looking forward to being able to come home and lay on my couch after work in a couple of weeks.

Week 7: A Whirlwind of Sick

This week Jon officially upgraded my little chalkboard I had bought and painted and one-upped me by making a giant chalkboard with supplies from home depot (molding and a large chalkboard piece). I figure I should put my new chalkboard to good use and will be trying to keep up with taking a picture with the chalkboard each week of the pregnancy. To give credit where credit is due, I totally stole this idea from www.littlebabygarvin.blogspot.com, a really awesome pregnancy/motherhood blog I'm addicted to. I'm already a week behind on posting this (hit 8 weeks today), but here it goes anyways...

How far along? 7 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0 lbs so far but I definitely feel/look a lot different (*cough*rounder*cough*)
Maternity clothes? Nothing technically yet, but I did have to go buy a couple of new pairs of jeans in a size bigger.
Stretch marks? No. I know this is genetic and there's not much I can do to prevent them if I'm destined to get them, but lately I've become minorly obsessed with researching stretch mark creams. Gone are the days when I spend my time researching vacation spots and local night spots....sigh....
Sleep: Sleep has been fine other than some weird dreams. Some of the best so far have included making a guest appearance on Fresh Prince of Bel Air and one where I was Mr. Incredible and was trying to escape an evil plot of Jafar.
Best moment this week: Keeping down a tuna sandwich last night! Any meal that I can eat and keep down is a success these days.
Miss Anything? Eating regular food (anything besides crackers, popsicles, and plain pasta) and going out for a drink and actually being able to order one.
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Sweets. I'm generally not a big dessert person, but when I've been craving something lately, chances are 10:1 it's something sugary.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Oh my gosh, everything. Anything creamy being the #1 culprit.
Have you started to show yet: I say yes, Jon says no.
Gender: Unknown. We're still at an impasse on whether we will be finding out at our 20 week appointment.
Labor Signs: Ah! No!
Belly Button in or out? Ew! I'm deleting this question from all future questionnaires.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! But tired.
Looking forward to: Our 8 week appointment next Wednesday. I'm crossing my fingers we'll get to hear a heartbeat. I'm also looking forward to announcing Baby Legg to our friends next week.
